B-SCAN has officially launched the Safe and Accessible Sanitary Product Innovation Competition—a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming menstrual hygiene management for women with severe disabilities. This unique competition is being organized in collaboration with WaterAid Bangladesh, a leading international nonprofit focused on improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in developing countries, with support from Kimberly-Clark.
The competition calls for innovative, accessible, and sustainable solutions in sanitary product design and production—solutions that cater specifically to the needs of women with disabilities, who are often left out of mainstream menstrual health conversations.
The kick-off event took place on 17 April 2025 at the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation in Agargaon, Dhaka. Distinguished guests in attendance included:
