At B-SCAN, research and studies strenghthens our work towards an inclusive society where persons with disabilities can participates and live with dignity. We examine everyday barriers and lived experiences, with particular attention to women with disbailities, to inform practical solutions and eviedence-based advocacy.
Our research covers accessibility, education, employment, health, WASH, climate resilience and civic participation. Through surveys, consultations, accessibility assessments and research partnerships, we bring together community perspectives and technical expertise.
We use the findings to improve our programmes, recommend policy changes and advocate for accessible services. By centring the voices of persons with disabilities, we turn evidence into action for greater choice, inclusion and equal opportunities.
